I was really hoping that the painting fairies would have come overnight to finish my apartment, but no such luck. I have decided that I am the Jackson Pollack of house painting! I am very abstract and colorful and I manage to cover the entire project with paint splatters. Did I ever mention that I loathe painting? Also, painting with a hangover is unenjoyable. I woke up thinking my head was in a vice... my initial thought was that I needed to get over the apartment to paint but I, for some reason, could not get out of bed. I think the problem is the fact that I rarely drink so when I do, even though I don't get drunk, it gives me a headache like it's nobody's business.
Speaking of drinking... Um, okay... when did Masque become a straight bar? I don't think I will be going back there anytime soon. There was all sorts of mayhem. Gay boys dancing on the bar then jumping down for a tip from girls boyfriends to dry hump the women on a chair - ew! What the hell is that all about?? Then there was the whole newscaster convention of Barbie and Ken wannabe's that were taking up space at the part of the bar where you get drinks. Mr. Pastel putting his hand up size-zero-anchorwoman's skirt. Yeah, I am over Masque for some time. Oh! And the music sucks.
The good part about this past week is that the group went to dinner for a pre-Cinco de Mayo celebration. We had a couple of Bad Juan's and great conversation with unintentional hilarity from a couple members of the group.
Also, the girls from work and I went to Columbus to see the Pussycat Dolls and Black Eyed Peas. I still can't believe the nosebleed seats were $45!! The sound sucked but I think it was due to being on the side of the stage. You could hear the songs but when anyone spoke it sounded horrible. Note to self... get seats in the front of the stage for the next concert! Live and learn!
